SilMach’s product family includes ChronoMEMS sensors, which are hybrid MEMS micromechanical devices designed to detect mechanical or thermal events such as shocks, vibrations, and temperature changes without needing a power supply. These sensors can monitor equipment and structures continuously over extended periods according to predefined threshold conditions, and can provide durable, event-based monitoring in harsh or remote environments.
In addition to sensing technologies, SilMach develops PowerMEMS micromotors—programmable silicon micromotor components that can be directly mounted using surface-mount technology and are designed for low-energy operation. These devices have applications in electronics, instrumentation, and industrial systems where small-form-factor actuators are needed.
SilMach’s hybrid MEMS solutions have seen adoption in sectors such as industrial condition monitoring, aerospace, defence, and infrastructure safety. The company’s sensors have been selected for structural monitoring applications, including embedded shock detection in protective hardware.
Typical supported applications include energy-free structural health monitoring, industrial equipment monitoring, shock and vibration detection, environmental condition sensing, threshold exceedance detection, and micromechanical actuation systems.
